Dear CFSOMD Supporters,
In order to achieve our vision of making Southern Maryland the best place to live and give, the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Southern Marylandhas entered into an affiliation agreement with Chesapeake Charities, a community foundation that currently supports grant making in the Eastern Shore and parts of Southern Maryland. By combining forces, we will double our assets and bring additional staff and resources to the community to better serve you, our fund holders, and the growing needs of Calvert, Charles & St. Mary’s counties.
I want to assure you that your fund will continue to be professionally managed and nothing in your agreement with the Community Foundation of Southern Maryland will change. Just the opposite, we will be able to provide additional services and support so that you will have greater access to staff members able to assist you. The new office is located at 101 Log Canoe Circle, Suite O, in Stevensville, Maryland. Staff are available Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Fridays by appointment. Please feel free to reach out to the staff if you have any questions.

The Board of the Community Foundation of Southern Maryland will continue to provide oversight of the funds and direct the grant making activities. We plan to hold a community gathering once the social distancing restrictions have been removed and the staff at Chesapeake Charities will be in touch shortly to schedule a virtual meeting of fund holders.
We look forward to working with you to improve the quality of life in Southern Maryland.
